Can you travel to my wedding?

We travel all around the country, but it does depend on where our other gigs are booked either side of your date. We are a Dublin band, so a travel charge will apply for any long journeys.

Can we pick the setlist?

You are welcome to have a look at our online setlist. We find the best strategy is to pick the top 10 tunes you would like to hear, and we will balance your requests with reading the dancefloor.

What time will you arrive?

We will arrive at your venue before 8pm and be ready to load in ASAP.

How long does set up take?

We can set up in 40 - 45 minutes including soundcheck.

How long do you play for?

We play for an hour generally in the first half, then break for tea and afters food before playing the second half. The second half is usually a little bit longer than the first half. In total the average from start to finish including break is 2.5 hours.

Our venue is really small, will you be able to fit?

We are small venue specialists! We have played in peoples sitting rooms and you’d be amazed how little space we need to set up. We know how to keep the sound levels way down so that your guests are still able to talk.

Can you perform our first dance?

Yes we can - we have a list of over 70 first dances on our website. Any of these we can perform for you at short notice.
Sometimes it is possible to learn a new first dance - but generally we recommend using an Mp3 if the song has a complex chord structure and / or a difficult vocal. Songs like this require quite a bit of rehearsal, and as we are so busy, it’s not always possible to get a new first dance fully polished up in time for your wedding. We like to keep the standards high and if we feel we can’t do your song justice, an mp3 might be a better idea!

How do I book?

We require a small deposit to secure the date. As soon as you commit to paying a deposit we will put you in the diary.

Do you play showcases?

Unfortunately, we no longer play Showcases. This is because…. we are just too busy! Also, it can be very difficult to co-ordinate a date that suits. These days, a lot of couples getting married aren’t crazy about the idea of “strangers” coming and “crashing” their wedding.

Can you provide DJ?

Yes we can. The Suitcase DJ has played at well over 1000 weddings and uses all the same equipment as the band. Requests during the set are welcome, as are playlists in advance.

What kind of equipment do you use?

We use a Custom Toby Hatchett sound system, which is adaptable for use in very small or very large rooms. It’s a cool look and super fidelity sound. We use high quality lights to create a fantastic atmosphere in the room.

Do you have insurance?

Yes we do - we have full Public Liability insurance.
